Why We Give
We give to help fulfill our mission of following Jesus in community for the good of the world. Practically, gifts given help God's mission of blessing a broken world move forward. (Acts 20:35, 1 Corinthians 15:58)
We also give as a response of gratitude and obedience to God, who has given us both live and wholeness/salvation/rescue. The bible teaches that the tithe (10%) is the baseline of giving, and that offerings are given above and beyond (Matthew 10:8, Malachi 10:8, 2 Corinthians 9:7, Luke 18:9-14
